oneVillage » Overview

The oneVillage Foundation (OVF) promotes ecologically and socially responsible development in emerging markets through a comprehensive and synergistic set of programs called the oneVillage Foundation Initiative (OVI). OVF is moving towards the full scale implementation of these initiatives through Multipurpose Community (Unity) Centers (MCCs) through several smaller scale projects currently in development. The OVF's core focus areas include economic development and social entrepreneurship, using information and communication technologies (ICT) to augment health care, educational programs and proactive approaches to HIV/AIDS.

The client needed a simple website designed and built along with identities for a family of related business entities and initiatives. The client also needed to visually convey the structure and interrelationships between the related business entities.

I acted as a user experience consultant to the AIDS Releif Foundation as I saw their efforts as a potential proving ground for my growing vision of mobile situation awareness.

I designed and built the original websites for oneVillage Foundation and oneVillage.biz. I also developed the corporate identities for each business and created a number of info-graphics to convey the interrelationships between the business entities and potential partners.

I firmly believe in the mission and the people behind the oneVillage Foundation. Although my work with OVF was pro-bono, I was paid with their kindness, insight, creative energy and moral support as I sought to manifest my vision.
